Sequence 063 - Acrylic Painting

This is part of a series of canvases that utilize color sequences from Sarah Renae Clark’s Color Catalogs.

This is a 6 inch by 6 inch canvas painted with acrylic paint. There is a raised texture created by the paint and printmaking process.

The Color and Body Series is a means for exploring color combinations that I wouldn’t have thought to put together. I also used this series as a personal journey for accepting parts of me that I was previously uncomfortable with. Instead of using brushes for the whole artwork, I chose to use parts of my body to create each canvas.

The hope is to expand this exploration of color and printmaking into canvases of various sizes and a wide variety of mark making.
